Every BJJ lover knows that we don’t need no reason to be on the mats.
Nevertheless, GMA members Ricardo Almeida, Tom De Blass and Steve Bongiorno, alonside with other Professors in New Jersey had a great reason to get together and roll last week.
De Blass tells the story: “It was an amazing night at Ocean County Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Ricardo Almeida, Frankie Edgar, Nick Catone, Professor Steve Bongornio, Professor Drew Puzon, and myself put on a seminar for a little girl named Savanna who is batteling cancer. All the students were asked to donate at least $30.00. The generous students at OCBJJ ended up raising over $3,000.00 for the cause.”
The response was so amazing, they were able to help another girl: “We raised more than expected so we were able to donate the extra money to another local girl with cancer. Thank you to all that came out and supported. What a great cause. God Bless,” tells Blass.
