The BJJ community gathered in Rio de Janeiro last weekend.
The International Open Master & Seniors and the Rio Open International attracted thousands of athletes to the historic Tijuca Tennis Clube.
Our GMA members were present and made their presence felt at the podium.

At the Rio Open, Mackenzie Dern, daughter of Megaton Dias, ruled the purple belt, taking gold both at featherweight and the absolute.
Felipe Costa made it to the silver medal at the black belt adult roosterweight.
At Master & Seniors, Fabio Leopoldo, from Gracie Morumbi, and Fernando Di Pierro, from Alliance Ecuador, had a GMA final at the master black belt heavyweight. Leopoldo came out on top.
Felipe Costa also competed among masters and won the roosterweight master division.
Luciana Dias, wife of Megaton, was the owner of the master female black belt division, winning the heavyweight and the absolute.
Besides that, many GMA schools had students competing.
